World Urban Regeneration Best Practice

Who can apply ?

WURBP1 is open globally to entities with experience in urban regeneration practices and innovative solutions to participate. This includes, but is not limited to, local governments, enterprises, and research and design institutions.

The regeneration practices in urban and rural areas must meet the following criteria:

  • The practice must have been completed or have achieved measurable progress within the past five years ( from January 1, 2020, to May 31, 2025).
  • The practice should demonstrate forward-looking innovation and significant positive impact, supported by evidence or indicators of effectiveness and successful implementation.
  • The practice should align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.

  • Practices should be presented as case studies and submitted via the WURBP official website.
  • Modifications can be made at any time before the final submission deadline.
  • All application materials must be submitted in English.
